Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy Professional Organizations in Saskatchewan
In Saskatchewan there are three primary physical therapy organizations:
- The School of Rehabilitation Science, College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan - the university educational program that trains physical therapists;
- The Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists - the regulatory body which licenses graduate physical therapists and ensures they meet required standards of practice; and
- The Saskatchewan Physiotherapy Association - the professional association which works on behalf of member therapists to promote the profession.
These three organizations have established a "Saskatchewan Physical Therapy Advisory Group" which meets on at least an annual basis to share information, discuss upcoming trends within the profession and collaborate on projects or events when possible.
For more information on the roles of each of these organizations and for their contact information, visit the organizations website via the links above.
