Telerehabilitation Tools and Strategies for Today’s Physiotherapist
The 2026 mandatory competency domain was Physiotherapy Expertise. This webinar held on November 25, 2025 and explored the application of telerehabilitation within the context of physiotherapy expertise. Participants learned how to adapt their clinical knowledge and skills to a virtual setting while maintaining the core principles of physiotherapy practice.

Dr. Stacey Lovo BScPT, MSc, PhD
Curtis Newton
Curtis lives in Swift Current with his wife Michelle (also a Physio) and their two boys Declan and Camden. Curtis is a graduate of the School of Rehab Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan in 2005. Curtis started his career as a Physiotherapist at Medicine Hat Hospital and the Medicine Hat Primary Care Network in a Patient’s Medical Home.
Since joining the former Cypress Health Region in 2009, Curtis has provided physiotherapy services to Maple Creek, Leader, Herbert and Swift Current sites. He completed the Saskatchewan Leadership Program in 2015, Lean Improvement Leaders training in 2017, Clinical Quality Improvement Program in 2019 and is currently enrolled in Healthcare Excellence Canada’s EXTRA executive training program.
Curtis is the Director Primary Health Care with the Saskatchewan Health Authority in SW5 (Swift Current and area)
Curtis is passionate about improving health quality with data supported approaches and team based care.
