Trauma Integrated Care in Physiotherapy

On November 21, 2025 this webinar was presented in partnership with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists (SCPT). The SCPT Manditory Continuing Comptency Domain for the 2025 renewal period was Management.

 

Speakers Ashley and Adrianne discussed how to cultivate 'safe enough' spaces in private practice and public health settings. They explored how organizations and physiotherapists can support Trauma Integrated care from the practice levels to the management and systems levels; in how we maintain and administer for example medical records and deliver care.

Adrianne Vangool

Adrianne Vangool is an author, licensed physical therapist and certified yoga therapist. She is passionate about making the benefits of physiotherapy and yoga accessible to all. This passion has driven her to start Vangool Wellness, a holistic clinic with a focus on rehabilitation and health throughout the lifespan. Vangool Wellness is passionate about addressing and eliminating barriers that prevent people from taking part in yoga and receiving health services.  Adrianne has published two books: Yoga for the Stages of Pregnancy and Early Days Postpartum and The Journey of Self-Care to We-Care. Adrianne has a passion for spreading the joy and holistic benefits of whole person care and yoga through her clinical practice, continuing education courses, speaking engagements, podcast, yoga teaching, and writing. Ashley Breland

Ashley, a dedicated Métis woman and social work therapist, embraces a fat-positive and body-neutral approach, supporting individuals in standing confidently in their own power.
