We are now accepting expression of interest applications for the Stroke Rehab Essentials Course being offered in both Saskatoon and Regina but with travel bursaries available for therapists to attend from across Saskatchewan. The intent is to bring together people from across the province.

This hands-on clinical skills workshop will focus on evidence-based approaches to assessment, treatment, and overall management post-stroke. We aim to demystify stroke rehabilitation and provide participants with immediate, evidence-based tools. We will cover critical assessment protocols, safe handling mechanics, and creative intervention strategies that maximize neuroplasticity. We will focus on the practical execution of motor learning principles and functional task-specific training. Registration is open to all physical therapists and occupational therapists with a generalist case load.

The course will be over two days, with 6 hours of learning each day. Financial support is available for participants who need assistance with travel and/or accommodation costs. Please indicate whether you would need support.

Applications will close on October 20th, 2026. You will have a choice to choose between our Saskatoon and Regina locations as well as in-person or virtual participation as we have made this a hybrid event to better accommodate participants. For the Saskatoon option, you will have the choice of our Nov 20/21, 2026 date or a future course in 2027. You will receive course acceptance confirmation by October 30th, 2026.
