NeuroSask: Active and Connected

NeuroSask is a Saskatchewan led initiative through the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Medicine in collaboration with the MS Society of Canada, Parkinson Canada, Spinal Cord Injury Saskatchewan, Office of the SK MS Clinical Research Chair, and Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation.

This drop-in, virtual program is tailored to people with neurological conditions. We provide physiotherapy-guided movement, expert information on health and wellness, and social connection.

Day/Time Tuesday and Thursday 2:00pm SK*
Duration 30 minutes
Location Zoom
Details A seated movement class (led by a physiotherapist) focused on alignment, seated postural control, body awareness, range of motion and muscle activation. Class includes some resistance training and cardio.
Stretching Class
Day/Time Tuesday 2:30pm SK*
Duration 15 minutes
Location Zoom
Details Stretching class designed to help with range of motion, pain and spasticity management
Connected
Day/Time Thursday 2:30pm SK*
Duration 30 minutes
Location Zoom
Details An educational session with a guest expert on a health and wellness topic

*A note about time zones: There are time zone changes in March and November which may impact participants joining from other locations across Canada. The time of the classes reflects current time in Saskatchewan.
