SLP and OT Program Development Feedback Portal
The University of Saskatchewan is collaborating with the Ministry of Advanced Education (MAE) to develop proposals for two new programs: Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP). This is a rare opportunity to develop unique and innovative programming that responds to community needs in our province and beyond, and to meet the university’s mandate to "Be What the World Needs". This plan also aligns with the Government of Saskatchewan Health Human Resources action plan and would improve the chronic recruitment and retention issues of OTs and SLPs in our province.
Input from diverse community members will lead to a stronger proposal and a better program design. Successful implementation of these programs will require several approvals and dedicated funding.
This portal allows OTs, SLPs, and anyone from the public with a vested interest to share their thoughts about why this program is needed, how it can meet current and future needs, and any additional insights or concerns. We look forward to receiving your feedback and encourage you to share this opportunity with other interested parties.
Please note that all contributions will be read and shared amongst the team. We anticipate a high response rate so unfortunately we will not be able to respond to individual feedback. However, we believe this information will be critical to our planning and may use it to facilitate future stakeholder events. All input you choose to share will be treated confidentially and shared anonymously. Thank you so much for taking part in the proposal development for new OT and SLP programs in Saskatchewan by contributing to this portal.
