The School of Rehabilitation Science mourns the passing of Dr. Stephan (Steve) Milosavljevic on July 30, 2026.
Dr. Milosavljevic was hired as a Professor with Tenure in 2013 and served as Director of the School of Rehabilitation Science from 2013-2017. He also served as Vice-Dean Research for the College of Medicine from 2015-2016.
Throughout his career, Dr. Milosavljevic made significant contributions to the school, college and university through his leadership, as well as his achievements in teaching and research. Read his obituary here.
Bio
Originally from Australia, Dr. Milosavljevic spent thirty years working in New Zealand, where his research closely involved Indigenous peoples and occupational health. His work delved into inequities in access to health services and he collaborated on a multitude of projects. His research focused on investigating whole body vibration occupational exposure and using walking as an intervention to manage chronic low back pain.
