Randa is a compassionate speech-language pathologist with 25 years of experience in clinical practice, teaching, and clinical education. Her career began serving children and families on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation and in communities throughout New Zealand, shaping her commitment to culturally responsive, relationship-centred care. She has worked across urban, rural, remote, and Indigenous communities in health, education, and rehabilitation settings.
Randa is passionate about preparing empathetic, confident speech-language pathologists through student centred learning, collaboration, and evidence-informed practice. She is committed to communication access as a human right. Her areas of clinical interest include motor speech disorders and neurogenic communication disorders, including aphasia services and group therapy guided by Life Participation Approach to Aphasia (LPAA) principles.
